(Note: On March 15th, Area 1 went into the red phase of the COVID-19 pandemic which affected the elective surgeries and outpatient clinic visits• performs over 10,000 radiology exams and over 1,000 cardiology exams
There are 125 employees and 10 physicians who provide exceptional service at the SMH.
The Sackville Memorial Hospital offers a wide range of services including 24-hour emergency care, a 21 bed medical inpatient unit with palliative care services, a day surgery program and diagnostic testing (laboratory,radiology, ECG, Holter monitoring and spirometry).
This accredited facility which is part of the Horizon Health Network, serves the population of Sackville, Dorchester, Port Elgin, Memramcook and surrounding areas. The interdisciplinary team works collaboratively with community partners to provide quality care to patients with acute, chronic and rehabilitation needs. The Sackville Memorial Hospital provides various outpatient services, which include speech-language pathology, rehabilitation & diabetes clinics, dietary counselling and addiction and mental health services. Varied physician specialists provide follow-up at our outpatient clinics including orthopedics and urology.
