The Mission of The Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation is to raise funds and administer its resources to preserve, maintain, and enhance the quality of healthcare in the Tantramar region.

The Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation wants to support the best possible health care in the Tantramar region and to ensure the future of the hospital so that it remains a vibrant healthcare centre in the community.
About Our Foundation
We’re in the business of supporting better health care in the Tantramar region.
With financial support from all levels
of the community, the SMH Foundation helps fund new technologies, innovation and professional education for staff that contribute to life-changing moments experienced every day by patients and their loved ones at the SMH. We are inspired by the drive and passion of our healthcare staff, and want to ensure they have the tools to do their job.
By working together with people who share a vision of better health, the Foundation strengthens care delivered at the SMH, improving the health and lives of our friends, family and community.
About Our Hospital
Horizon’s Sackville Memorial Hospital is an acute care community hospital located in the town of Sackville and provides services to the population of Sackville, Dorchester, Port Elgin and surrounding areas, including the thriving student population of Mount Allison University.
Services provided at the hospital include: ambulatory care; dietitian and diabetic education; diagnostic imaging; family medicine; laboratory; palliative care; rehabilitation; speech language pathology; physiotherapy; occupational therapy; and a day surgery program.
Accountability
Focused on ongoing and future excellence, the Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation raises the additional funds–over and above the essential health care provided by government–that ensure the most advanced and exceptional health care possible.
